Pricing and credit · The cheque lifecycle
Received, deposited, cleared, bounced. One calendar, both sides.
Every cheque is recorded once, by whoever receives it, and then moves through its states on the platform. The retailer sees what is due and when; the supplier sees what is held, what cleared and what bounced, and the rep gets a nudge on the route.

The rules
- 01
Four states
Received, deposited, cleared, bounced. Each with a date and who recorded it.
- 02
Money when it clears
A cheque is payment only when it clears. Until then the credit it covers stays used.
- 03
Bounced means held
A bounced cheque holds the retailer's next sub-order with that supplier for a decision.
- 04
Never through Madana
Cheques pass from retailer to supplier as they do today. Madana records them; it never holds or deposits them.
Where it shows
Supplier dashboard
The register by due date, deposits to make this week, and what bounced.
Retailer screen
The calendar: what is due, to whom, on which day, across every supplier.
Rep app
Cheque-due nudges for the retailers on today's route, before the visit.
Logged, always
Every change is written with who, what and when, and both sides can see the part that concerns them.
- Received: amount, due date, by whom, against which sub-order
- Deposited and cleared: the dates, so aging is exact
- Bounced: the date, and the hold it triggered

Not until it clears. Held cheques do not free credit headroom.
Yes. The supplier's bank details are on every invoice; a transfer is recorded the same way, and counts when it lands.
